Powertrain is a useful description of key systems involved in moving a vehicle. In a warranty, however, the precise covered-parts list determines the protection available.
Start with the issued document
For a petrol or diesel vehicle, a powertrain plan may cover specified engine and gearbox components. Hybrid and electric options can differ. Check what your plan actually names.
Connected does not automatically mean covered
A component may be mounted on an engine or linked to a transmission without being included under the same cover. Ask AUSS if you are unsure about a particular part.
Maintenance is a separate question
Servicing, consumables and wear items should not be assumed to be warranty repairs. Any maintenance benefits need to be checked under your specific programme.
A diagnosis is part of the process
A symptom or warning light does not, on its own, establish the failed component or claim eligibility. Contact AUSS so the concern can follow the appropriate assessment process.
Ask before committing to repair costs
Before authorising warranty-related work, confirm the approval process. This helps keep the customer, workshop and warranty team working from the same information.
Contact AUSS with your vehicle details and warranty booklet.
